play .wav files on the zune

i could buy an old ipod nano and use rockbox Rockbox - Open Source Jukebox Firmware
but i own the orriginal 30gb zune and would much prefer to keep with what i've got.

can anybody make the zune play .wav files. i've got some music saved as .wav and when i convert it it sounds like ****. so the solution in my mind is to not convert it.

Which converter are you using?
Also, it's not possible as it would require a firmware hack which can't be done as of now, sorry.

i've tried avs and audacity. both sound horrible when they are done. i'm realy just being a quality snob here looking to listen to lossless .WAVs

and i read further down on the requests page after posting this realizing that somebody requested rockbox for the zune already and was told that the firmware is uncrackable.
maybe i'll just buy a stolen iPod nano from the pawn shop.
