Default Zune Software - More File Types

Please someone make it possible to have the zune software itself play more file types (i.e. .wav, .mpg etc)

Great board glad I joined.

How is it done? I've searched high and low and even did the registry hak but that doesn't make an avi or other lay inside the software.

I want to play all media through the software on pc.

The registry hack you mentioned is to make the device viewable in Explorer (and thus making it almost like a mass storage device). But, there are no hacks that I know of that can make the Zune UI play other media types.

BOO wrong answer even if it's true. That should be fixed in a software update.

I like that you want more file types so badly that you made your username morefiletypes, that's classy

Well, it is true. So, it's actually the right answer.

In all seriousness though - if this is a major problem for you, you might want to look into another MP3 player that supports the media types you are looking for.
