rockbox - new perspective

so, let me start by saying, that i know next to nothing about zune firmware or rockbox / replacement firmwares. Aside from the fact that zune has a module or some such device/ software, that prohibits unsigned drivers.

If this is the only method of preventing an alternative firmware, than what would be wrong with creating a firmware specially for the zune, but then creating it in the format of an application or a game, so that you could go to the games, run it, and then basically have a new firmware ?

i didn't really do much research on this... aside from scanning... so, if anybody could do this, it'd be cool...


(i don't know if there are any limitations to what could be created as a zune app)

either way.. it won't be possible.. it will be hard to do for a program/application or anything.. there are mostly limitation of what a zune can handle on applications/games

this has been requested before, it isn't possible since the zune firmware is like "Fort Knox"
