the ZuneHDPatch doesnt work for me, but i did everything it said. i want to avoid regedit but i will do so if necesary.

alright. instead of just searching for "portabledevicenamespace" just once, search for it twice or untill you can't find it anymore. The value your looking for is probably under a different control set.
