Bypassing MS updates

Do you know of any way possible to sync the newest update software without using the stupid MS updates. Here's the deal. I want to sync my zune on my work system but MS updates are disabled by GP's. I've come very close to getting this to work. I can use the portable hdd hack and view everything on my zune but it's still locked and you cannot access the files. I managed to install the oldest zune software at work but it won't sync with the new software without the MS update. Any help would be appreciated. I'm so close and yet so far away and don't want to downgrade the zune and loose my stuff.

Oh and Zunlock and Zalt won't work on the old software at work. Works great at home though
