I know since the whiz kids are working for linux, I would REALLY hope for a slimmed down browser such as firefox portable or even if it has to be internet explorer, let it be. I was wondering, since the screen is pretty nice for browsing, you can have web browsing in land scape mode and in the top, include a small, but yet readable virtual keyboard for us to find stuff. This would make surfing much easier.
You know how when you select a picture, from the image gallery, it goes into this special mode? You can implement this to the virtual keyboard so the left+right and up+down could do something useful while you browse the net, yet have full keyboard functionality. I know the PSP is similar.
EDIT:
Some more pics so you can understand the idea.

That is a PSP running the web. Do you also see how the keyboard is not there until activated? I hope the zune can do this as you could stream live video or music from sites such as YouTube, thus creating a REAL social experience.
If Microsoft would have done this from the getgo, the iPhone wouldn't have even have been a contender as the 1st Gen zune would blow every single Crapple product out of the water.
*I have faith that the linux/rockbox/firmware hackers will implement this as it is oh so possible with the mega 400MGhz Free-Scale processor and it's 64 mb of RAM.
From what I heard, The PSP initially did not have any cool Wi-Fi features like this but they had implemented it through firmware updates. Hopefully, Microsoft will do the same and become a success.
From what I'm hearing about the Wi-Fi and it's encrypted network, I'm guessing some of the neat stuff I put up might not be available but only time will tell when they will leak whatever code is necessary to open the Wi-Fi. It was Microsoft who DID leak Fairuse4M so users could clear way for the zune and so all the wma music could be used in the zune. Maybe they can do the same.
