We Need an EQ for the zune

There is no way to really do an EQ from what I understand. The 2nd Gen zune can not support a hardware based EQ.

The best thing to do is start buying good headphones...

what about the first gen? ive had multiple headphones including philips, sony, and skullcandy and there are a lot of difference between each, but i would love to have the customablility of a custom eq like my old iRiver.

I believe the 1st gen (i.e. 30 GB) Zune does have an EQ

Original 30 gig Zune does have EQ. I will clarify this when I get a chance.

EDIT: Confirmed, 30 gig Zune has EQ located under "Music" in "Settings".

yes i know that, but my old mp3 player had a customizable EQ, not just preloaded ones like Pop, Electronic, Acoustic, Hip Hop, Rock... etc

fully customizable, with srs wow if only iriver didnt suck so bad, but then i wouldn't have gotten a zune if my old iriver hadnt died

a customizable one would be nice, but my thirty gig has some presets. there's not a lot, but i mean, it's better than having nothing at all. I hope microsoft can fix this somehow. Maybe with the next generation.

i honestly just joined this board a minute ago, and i was gonna request EQ. Only flaw with the zune is no EQ, but buying really good headphones with some nice bass response can fix that.
