[SOLVED] Portable Zune software

Ok, I've heard that running the zune software off a flashdrive is a massive project b/c it relies so heavily on the registry of a computer, but is it impossible?

What if a registry file containing all the keys needed for the zune software was created and then you carried that around on a flashdrive. Whenever you got on a computer and wished to use the zune software, you just merge the zune registry with the computers main registry and then fire up the software off the flashdrive. Does anybody here know if that will work, at least in theory?

we actually had a workable version of the portable software somewhere (i think uaktags was working on it), unfortunately never was able to get syncing to work...which is what entire value was

yeah, syncing is kinda the main point isn't it? well, thanks anyway, I was just wondering what was being tried.
