Default Zune as Portable HDD For Xbox 360

Hack Name: Zune as Portable HD For Xbox 360
What It Does: Covert Zune to a Portable HD to transfer game saves, etc. from the Xbox 360 to a computer and vise versa. This would be a great hack so that the datel transfer kit, SATA adapter etc. are not needed.
Tips/Suggestions for the H&M Team: I don't know if this is even feasible or not, but it would be very beneficial if it were.

Its a good idea but as for now its not possible because the firmware can not be hacked. However, with the release of games coming very soon an exploit may be found.

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be possible but you never know unless you ask. Hopefully though this is a possibility in the future.

I don't know if this could help or not... BUT, in the past, one (or more) of my 360 games popped up once saying that an mp3 player of mine was an option for storing saves onto... maybe it was a glitch on the 360 or something, but I don't remember if it was a sandisk usb flash drive mp3 player I had or my zune 30gb... anyway, if that helps at all GREAT, if not, I'm sorry for getting your hopes up, try bugging the guys over at xbox scene.

with the release of XNA for zune has anyone found an exploit in the firmware in order for somebody to try to hack the firmware in order to make the zune an hdd for the xbox 360

would be nice, but to the person that said his game said this was possible, you are a liar. the 360 cannot save to USB devices. USB on the 360 is read only. Even if the firmware were hackable, not doable

Maybe someone will make an app that puts on custom firmware like on the psp. Then maybe this would be possible
