Yeah, I read many of the "can't be done" threads on this and other sites. Seems the system is locked down pretty well with digital certificates or such...
But- looking at this article: zune-online.com/news/zune/all-the-details-about-gaming-on-zune. html (You have to copy and paste the link and remove the space before html and add www at the beginning. The post-counter isn't working and still says I have 0 posts, so can't post a link )I was thinking, Why not use the gaming development API to write custom apps? IF- the API will give access to the codecs, which would make sense from an efficiency point, but may be restricted due to protect the system. A game can typically be ANY kind of game, so it seems on the surface that a number of options should be available. So anyone know about the game development API's and/or tried it, or is the article a hoax? Thoughts? - JC |

and i dont think any1 has used the software yet, but we can expect some more details in spring wen they release the beta software but i think custom apps is a possibility only thing we can do is wait and see
