Zune Dreamscene

I know this is probably never going to happen, but wouldn't it be cool to have a video as our background for our zunes? Like dreamscene? Possibly if the firmware gets hacked and unsigned code could be run from the zune this could be possible.

I've always thought it would be cool to have an interactive UI and if we can change the font/color of the font

I'm pretty sure Microsoft will do that, but they need to focus on the bigger problems first

I personally dont think it will happen even if the firmware is hacked becaue firstly the zune cant even support .gif background so how is it going to support a moving video as a background. The next reason is it would drain the battery of the zune very quickly, plus it would require a high amount of ram (as far as I know dreamscene is only supported by vista ULTIMATE)

nope dreamscene is only given out with home and ultimate but i can run on any version of vista if you know how.
but yeah it would drain the battery abit animated gif maybe seen as some one said they have other image formats now working on there zune but prob not till the firmware was broken

Hmm.. It'll take memory from the Zune so I would NEVER do it if they let you.. I doubt anyone would really use it..

an animatd GIF with a limited # of frames will be as far as we ever get if we can even get that

do you mean HDD memory or RAM? caus the RAM would be easily be able to cope with it seen as it will only try to render it when you playing podcasts or music and it is quite capable of playing movies of a lot greater size
