Default Delete songs on the go

I think it would be nice to be able to delete songs off the Zune itself, just like you can on your phone. Or at least tag it for deletion and the next time you sync it automatically deletes it.

I used to flag the tracks on the previous firmware but that option was removed for some reason.

I would find that really helpful, I don't even know half the songs I put on from my brother's computer

Well it's nice to know i'm not the only one who would find this feature helpful. I thought I was just being anal retentive or something but it looks like i'm not alone even if I am.

Yeah, that'd be nice too. You can do that on the iPod but I didn't figure that out until my son showed me how, I felt like an idiot of course.

I wouldn't really need that feature, but nevertheless that would be a great feature. Many people would love that, as well. The "tag for deletion" sounds more practical, but I'm sure Microsoft can make it so a user can delete songs actually off of their device.

I do believe there is a guy working on this right now! Im not completely sure but in one of the hack forums they were talking about something on Linux and deleting things from your Zune.

No, that was just an update saying that he had found a way to work with the zune under linux (everything except sync).

Back to the main topic, I think it would be really cool to be able to generically delete stuff. Playlists, videos, podcasts (already available, right?), music, etc.

If someone could come out with a way to use a program other than the Zune software to sync any and all files without having to open the Zune software would make for a happy day for me.

At this point, the device cannot be hacked.
