Audio out from USB cable instede of Headphone jack

they had something like this by Belkin for the Ipod about 1 year ago. it used the cigarette lighter to charge and it also had a headphone jack output for audio for your car stereo AUX input. the new models only charge it (lame, I know)

well I am wondering if I can slice and dice the zune USB cable and wire up my own RCA\headphone jack wires to hook up to my car stereo. I really don't like having 2 wires coming from my zune, 1 headphone jack ontop for audio out, and the bottom to charge it. its tacky.

I have the Zune wired remote, which has two headphone jacks on it, and connects via the dock port.

You could get one of these, and probably cut it up, OR you could open up the Zune connector itself, and solder the wires on. (Although it would be next to impossible unless you have the proper equipment.)

very good ideas guys. the wired remote seems like a good idea. . but the remote prolly lacks Video out.

the IME looks intresting. but im sure that will be expensive. im sure it will cost as much as an integration kit for a aftermarket head unit for the car.

I am thinking I can buy teh dock and take it apart to figure out what wires in the sync cable charge the zune and whats ones are A\V outputs. hmmmmmmm
