This has got to be my biggest annoyance with my Zune! Does anyone think that they could hack the Zune or it's software to organize .mp4 videos into the correct categories without them being converted to another format? I have way too many movies to have them all in two formats for Zune and iPod playback. Mp4 works with them both, but can only be organized on my iPod.
I don't believe you can categorize MP4 files. WMV files have meta data that you can edit and specify a Zune category, but MP4 files don't have meta data tags.

Wonder if that's ever going to be fixed. Keyword "if."

Yeah, I know, two different names, but Jax came first then I made one for my current e-mail.
I understand the metadata issue. I wish the Zune software would categorize them within it's own database. iTunes does this so irregardless of the metadata the videos can be put into the correct category. The Zune needs to do this as well. This is only a problem when your database crashes, but that rarely happens, if ever, so I don't see why this wasn't thought of. I wouldn't even mind if only we could do video playlists. Then I could organize them manually at least. Thanks anyway.
Video playlists doesn't seem like a bad idea, but hey, probably just have to wait until the software is hacked (or recoded) to get that anyways.
