Default Bypassing hold button

Recently I dropped my zune and my hold button is a little messed up (more than just the plastic is apparantly broken). My zune is fine except for that, because when i plug it in it lights up, but it says hold is on. Anyway to bypass it, and make it to where i dont need to move it back and forth the get out of standby?

If the internal lever is messed up, I really don't see any way to fix it unless you open it up, but that would probably void the warranty.

I suggest calling up Microsoft tech support and seeing about getting it repaired.

Yes, calling microsoft would be the best option.

Unless you dont have your receipt

If you DO NOT have your receipt
Don't even bother, trust me its not worth the time.
You can argue with them for an hour like I did.
But you'll get nothing out of them.

Your receipt? What in the world would you need your receipt for? I had my Z30 sent in and replaced without ever seeing my receipt... Just register the Zune SN with your info.

Well because im an honest mofo, and i told them it was a drop, they wouldnt warranty it. So I asked about paying for a fix.

They dont do out of warranty repairs...

wtf. I bought a brown 30 off of amazon for 100 so, i guess its all good, but I figured if i could somehow fix the old one i should give it a shot.

thanks anyway -_-

well, since it's void anyways, you can always take it apart and disconnect the hold switch

Yeah! take it apart! You should take pictures too! But that does kind of stink how the warranty is void.
