Minimize-to-Tray Feature

Name: Minimize to Tray

What it does: It modifies the Zune Software to minimize to the taskbar/tray, instead of minimize to start bar.

Why? I find that the software starts up slow, and I like to be downloading in the background without crowding up my start bar. Is this possible?

This would be a nice feature. I'm reasonably sure that the plugin aspect of WMP11 is still hidden away somewhere in the bowels of the Zune software... So perhaps as soon as someone finds a hack for that, we can utilize an existing wmp11 plugin to accomplish this.

In the mean time, there are universal programs that allow any program to minimized to the tray. I haven't used one in a long time but google it.

I read about one called Power Menu....but I don't like third party programs by developers I have never heard of.... the last one I tried had a trojan grrrrr.

The problem I see from searching is that WMP11 has that "minibar" feature which is supposed to fulfill the need for a minimize-to-tray.

WMP11 does have the minibar, but there is actually a very simple plugin a stumbled onto that does exactly what you want. problems is that the Zune software doesn't support any plugins atm.
