Default FUTURE: Pop a sleep function on here!

I use my Zune at night when i'm going to sleep. I just pop on a huge playlist, but it drains the battery. So in my opinion, the only thing that is missing is a sleep feature! Please MS, give me this feature.

I have a set playlist that I throw it on before I go to sleep... I won't be doing this anymore untill there is (hopefully) a sleep feature in future updates. It would just be a nice little feature.

i like to fall asleep listeing to muisc on my zune also...and i also own the AC adapter... but the problem is that when the AC adapter is connected and a music file is playing the back light never shuts off ..and my back light is set to turn off after 5 seconds of unactivity.. (does any one else realize this too) . So if I have the as adapter connected while listing to music the bright light of the zune will shine in my face all night long now allowing me to sleep...COMMENTS????

lol..i moved up in the world and did something kinda cool...lol..least i think so...ok..my room is set up with a computer, tv, hometheatre system all on one side...and my bed on the other....so i hooked my zune to my computer (for battery supply) and bought a cord that hooked into the headfone jack, and plugged it into my home theatre...so now surround sound music while i sleep..and i just simply put the zune in its lil case thing and it blocks most the lite...thats my fix for now...atleast until we do get a sleep feature

try putting it screen down, put it inside the microfiber bag, or buy a sound-dock so you can just put a towel over it.

It isn't that bright.

Heheh, I like to listen "wings of marie" and those slow dark songs from Tool. They put me to sleep fast.

TV Out? : You can still listen to the music while the screen itself is off. Presumably this would also help save battery, though I haven't tested it.

They sell a stereo/dock thing... it's a bit pricey (I think it was like $199) but that'd be a viable option if you had $200 bucks to blow, don't you think?

And besides, doesn't the Zune go to sleep if it's not being used for like... 20 min or something?

The Zune will automatically go to standby from being paused, but it won't just stop playing music from not being touched. Imagine you have a shuffled playlist of 3000 songs and you have them playing at work or on a road trip. You don't touch the Zune because you like all the music and don't need to skip or change volume or anything. How pissed would you be if you had to hit play every 20 minutes due to a supposed "feature"?

Well, I mean like, if you're playing a specific album (or playlist)... once it's done the Zune goes into standby... know what I'm saying?

yea...like if it gets to the end of the "3000 songs" it doesn't just restart, unless u have the loop turned on, so it goes into Pause mode and then from the pause after an amount of time it goes to standby. thats what mine does, i have a play list of like 15 songs...so after 15 im already alsleep and it goes to standby.
