Some one lied to you in that thread. Whoever said that apparently has NO knowledge of programming.
A clock would be fairly simple to implement for anyone that has knowledge of the programming for the Zune.
Why would you want one anyway, would eat up a lot more resources.
Don't you have a watch, or cell phone?

I think a clock would be good..I mean why not, it would save time trying to take out my cell phone when all i have to do its push one button

It would be cool to have it, not like it can't be done but it's not necessarily a reason to hate the device.

I think having a zune clock on the front next to the menu would be awesome. It's not a necessity but who knows.

Zune rules without a clock, i've gotten used to it, i have a watch so all i have to do is look at my watch instead of taking out my zune...

A clock program would be flash based, and since the Zune don't support flash yet, no way. maybe the next firmware update it will.

I wouldnt care if there was a clock or not, because it could be useful on some ocasions when I need a watch or something with time, but usually I have my watch and my cell phone, or im with somebody that has one.

hey there is a way to have a zune clock! but you're going to have to make your own. first get a block of wood about 4.5' x 2.5' x .5'. then draw on a little clock representing time. and the album art for song playing. there you go; as far as anyone will get with putting a clock on the zune..
