Okay, I just got the 80 gig Zune the day it was released, and, with it, I updated my software (I had bee using the software because it read a lot of file types that Windows Media Player overlooked). And, with this, I realized that the new software SUCKS. Seriously, I cannot be the only one to think this. It's browsing functions are extremely basic, and, would be great, if I had a music library of 5 gigs (I have nearly 30). My MAIN complaint, besides all of the lost features I loved, is that it's extremely difficult to impossible to edit files. You cannot change track number, and anything past entire collections that may be screwed is painstakingly changing each individual track. This would be alright, I could live with that, if the software hadn't screwed up my files on download. I have an entire jumbled library of about 27 or so gigs of music. Thus, I can't put anything on my hardware or I just get extremely frustrated upon turning it on and viewing the files.
My request would be a greatly appreciated one, if accomplished, for opening up the Zune for me and letting me USE the bloody thing. I want a hack that allows me to CHANGE my files. Then, if I could just find a different software that worked or could get the old software, I would love to do that, also. However, because it's an 80 gig, I don't know if I could do the latter, although that would be my preferred choice (I tried, upon downloading it checked for updates and said I had the latest. I responded by screaming several obscenities and the words "I don't care" at my computer). Please get back soon, someone, I really want to get use out of this wonderful thing. ![]() |

Use zMeta for now.
Find it in the download manager, under hacks and mods.
