A new Language Hack

We need one since after we updated, the zune reformatts and the foreign languages installed are erased!!

I've been extracting and looking new firmware.. and figured out nothing.
and heard it doesn't have room for optional asian font set as it's not entried in registry...

same situaion here, i had asian font hack installed before firmware2.2
a MUST hack!

mcraman, you should team up with the original guy who uploaded the language hack. Maybe he'll know what to do!

I agree. Multi-language support is a must. Since MS failed to do it (again), I hope someone here would come to rescue soon.

well, the original guy who did it was 'scheme' and he is Korean as well.

However, the bad news is he doesn't have Zune any more.....
He can't help since he cannot test it with actual unit.
And that's why I cannot ask my friends who majored Comp. Sci with same reason...

Moreover, with the new v2.2, we are not allowed to use zune as a harddisk anymore. i think we should do sth. to this too.

I was able to get the zune works as storage harddrive in windows xp, by changing registry value in the regedit.
just like the previous version.

i wonder how did you do that? did you change the follwoing keys?:

EnableLegacySupport to 1
PortableDeviceNameSpaceExcludeFromShell to 0
ShowInShell to 1

here (xp too), I was able to see my zune as a harddrive, however, with the new v2.2, after I changed those keys, nothing happened. I tried to restart the pc, but still cannot see my zune in 'my computer'

yes I did that..
I searched key in the registry and I found.
under the same VID##### folder, there is one another folder with {numbers} with same keys and values.
In my case I had
0786db53_-_0aedd14e_-_80bd1ff8_-_8ee00652
and
53db8607-ed0a-4ed1-80bd-1ff88ee00652
were under that vid########## folder.

I changed values in 53db8607-ed0a-4ed1-80bd-1ff88ee00652
and now I can access storage in my computer.

now I can see the zune in 'my computer', however, it comes out that I can not create folders or paste any files to zune, that's strange.
btw, I'm do running the zune software when trying to create files on zune. Does it happen to you too?

well, I don't use drag & drop.
I just use Zune software, since I'm managing ID tag of songs
So I don't really need to use that method over the original way.
