I mean, you could let people in based on how mature they are, and you can determine that by their posts that they've already made.

Yeah this sounds like a good idea. I would base it on maturity rather then age. Age is just a number, maturity is something real. We do need a moral moderator, any takers? lol. The three strike policy might be a good place to start.

I would think we let anyone join, but people who show themselves as immature are denied access. For smaller offenses they can be banned from singular threads.
To be removed the mod would have to ask us (admin) to deny them in this case

Having a usergroup you could join would probably be ideal, but also often leads to forums dying.

For moderation maybe you could speak to lpx and find out if he can make a post rating system, with just simple pluses or minuses anyone in the group can rate the post, if it falls below a certain rating say -3 or -5 the person gets a strike then everyone gets a say in whether or not the person is acting mature and it isn't one persons job to moderate but everyones. Since we are assuming 99% of the people in the group will be able to act mature and make mature decisions.
