So, I was wondering, what are some of your favorite Bible verses? I mean, I know that one of my favorites is Hebrews 4:12. any others that you love?

Genesis 3:4-5

And the serpent said unto the woman 'ye shall not surely die'. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.[/

"For by gace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."
-Ephesians 2:8-10

*sigh* you know that in the Bible that verse is an example of the temptations of Satan, not some hole or flaw in the fabric of Christianity..

Yes Saline, I'm well aware of that. But I view it as to birth of man. This was the point in the Bible when man became man.

I can see how you think that, and i agree, I would think that too if I was in your shoes.

Matthew 4:19-20

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him

Deuteronomy 22 13-21

(13)If a man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and detests her,

(14)and charges her with shameful conduct, and brings a bad name on her, and says 'I took this women, and when I came to her I found she was not a virgin.'

(15)Then the father and mother of the young women shall take and bring out the evidence of the young woman's virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.

(16)and the young woman's father shall say to the elders, 'I gave my daughter to this man as wife, and he detests her.

(17)'Now he has charged her with shameful conduct saying ' I found your daughter was not a virgin,' and yet these are the evidences of my daughter's virginity.' And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

(18)Then the elders of that city shall take that man and punish him;

(19)and they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver and give them to the father of the young women because he has brought a bad name on a virgin of Israel. And she shall be his wife; he cannot divorce her all his days.

(20)But if the thing is true, and evidences of virginity are not found for the young women,

(21) then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father's house and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel, to play the harlot in her father's house. So you shall put away the evil from among you.

Ahhh Christian morality is so wonderful.

In response: John 8:1-11

1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" 11 "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

Yes, yes it is.

You seriously didn't see the cliche "He who is without sin, cast the first stone" coming? Seriously?

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ Lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. ~ Galatians 2:20
I am getting a tattoo of that on my back.

Heck, I just like the traditional verse that most everyone knows, John 3:16 = for God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whosoever should believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. -Psalm 46:10
