i see what you're saying, it just sounds so WRONG when you say it you know? I don't like the sound of not knowing for sure what someone is doing or feeling, makes me think "how do i know if anyone loves me then? my girlfriend? my parents?" I don't like that feeling, just to say that you CAN NOT KNOW if your son loves you, that sucks.

It does suck but it's the brutal truth. You can't know 100% but like I said you can make educated guesses and still come to the conclusion that everyone loves you. I can know my son loves me but I can't KNOW if that makes any sense.

Being an Atheist at times is a little rough because we don't have that crutch to lean on when we feel weak or vulnerable. I had a friend of mine (who is an Atheist as well) this last weekend that last his two twins five months into the pregnancy. What was i suppose to say to him? Christians can find comfort in God and can find answers in God but Atheist don't have that luxury. We acept it has part of life and have to dig deep within ourselves to get through the tough spots. But at times it can be difficult.

I can see how it can go tough for you, I mean, there are times when I feel far from God, and something bad happens to me, and I feel like I'm by myself. you know? So I don't have the exact same feeling, but I know what you're talking about. Trust me, there are times in my life where I feel like I've never felt so lonely, but it happens you know?

Once again... Satanists use Satan as an archetype. The word Satan is actually a Hebrew word meaning Adversary, one to oppose, accuse or question. We use this concept in our everyday lives. We do not believe in Satan as a theistic entity but as the carnal side of human nature.

Also, if you are new to this thread, please take the time to go back and read through ALL the posts. I can't tell you how many times in this thread I have had to answer that same question and others because people don't bother to go back and read. If you want to get involved in this discussion then please come in. But don't think that you can read the first couple of posts and the last couple of posts and understand everything that has transpired here.

Unfortunately there is no such statistic. Atheists always get lumped into a rather large group usually labels as...

Atheist/Secular/Agnostics/Non-Religious

The last number that I saw was over 1 Billion people world wide. This puts it at around the third largest "religion" in the world under Islam and Christianity.
But only only 10% of the population of the USA is falls in this group. The largest number of atheists is in a lot of the European countries like England, France, Germany, etc...

Thats because at least 50% of "Christians" just say they are Christian because thier parents made them think they were supposed to be Christian. In other words, alot of people were raised to be Christian but in actuality know nothing about it.
