I can't stand bigoted, ignorant religious crazy people. I'm not saying everybody is, but there are sure enough of them.


Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS plans to protest Heath Ledger's funeral because he acted in Brokeback Mountain.

"Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas has announced their plans to picket at Heath Ledger’s funeral because the actor “promoted homosexuality” by his film ‘Brokeback Mountain’ in which he played a gay man.

Fred Phelps leads the church, which demostrates their strong conviction against gays, lesbians and soldiers by picketing. The Topeka, Kansas based group has made headlines in the past after picketing at the funeral’s of soldiers carrying signs reading ‘Thank God for Dead Soldiers’ and ‘God Hates Fags.’



“God hates the, tacky bucket of slime seasoned with womit known as Brokeback Mountain and he hates all persons having anything whatsoever to do with it,” the church writes on a flyer.



Ledger was found dead in a New York apartment yesterday. NYPD says his tragic death may have been drug related as a bottle of sleeping pills were found nearby his body. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

I can't believe people sometimes. Sure, okay, believe what you want. I know I can never change a person's beliefs, and if you belief homosexuality is wrong.. go do that on your own.

But protesting the funeral of a man, a father, an American icon, a fellow human .. is immoral. Is sick, stupid, and ruthless. If they believe in God, why would they not believe in being kind to your fellow man? Sure, the movie got a lot of attention for the whole gay romance thing, but yknow what? Get over it. If your religion's morals are easily overtaken by one single movie, maybe there's something wrong with your religion.

People, I just don't get it. Foolish, ignorant people.

Protesting at a funeral should be outlawed, it doesn't matter who it is. No family should ever have to endure such humiliation, insults, and just plain idiocy.

I have a video somewhere where a show had a guy go into one of their picket sessions against gay people and came onto the lead guy. Yeah they are idiots.

Those people are not Christians, they are hate mongers who are blaspheming against God by saying he "hates fags". the bible calls homosexuality immoral, but God does not hate gay people. I could understand protesting the war, but not the soldiers.

They ARE those jerks. Fred Phelps is a nutjob, and his congregation is essentially his family and whatever random people they can brainwash. The man has no credibility whatsoever, and his "church" is worse (if possible) than the KKK.
