ZuneInfo Tool

Last night Pity had a great idea, why not take the WPDInfo.exe tool I gave out awhile ago, strip it down (so noobs can't accidentally format their zune), change around the wording a bit, and release it?

Here's what it can do:

1) Add new items? (not sure if it allows you/I deleted that feature)
2) Change *some* values (lots are protected)
3) Save resource files without the zune program (songs, movies, pics, etc.)
4) Delete files w/o the zune program

Perhaps a few things more.

It's in the 0.1 alpha stage right now, so post bugs/things that should be modified/taken out here.

Should we allow people to create files as well? I accidentally deleted some file creation dialog popups.

EDIT: Creating files DOES require some special parameters, I'd have to get them figured out first

Updated! Just added the functionality to add files (although you need to know the parameters in order to successfully do so).

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I had the same idea awhile ago. I could always delete the parameters and stuff...but I dunno.

I was hoping that using this, we couldmake a program that just chnges all of the objectisdrmprotected parameters to 'no', but if we can't do that, is there at least some way we can get this thing to only show the OBJECT_IS_DRM_PROTECTED variable, and even then, make it so it has a more ergonomic name, like 'Object Cannot Be Removed From Device'

I'll have a look at this too mars. Seems like you got it under control though.

EDIT: Icons anyone?

I can't set Object_is_drm_protected to false? How come you can and I can't? When I do it, it doesn't change and in the bottom panel it says access is denied.

I'll have a look. It worked before, might have been fixed in a firmware update

I think I remember it working, it has read write access right, everything with read write works for me, I think I remember, I didn't try it, but I think so, er...
