A portable version of the zune program, compact inside a nice tidy archive that is initally 9 MB, and unrar's to about 23 MB. This is made solely for syncing and playing media, it does not connect to the marketplace but will connect to pandora internet radio, and it will not update your device's firmware. As this is a beta version, give me some input before this is released.
This is a beta release, so I claim no responsibility for damage, injuries, your
computer blowing up, etc.
Installation instructions:
1) Plug your zune into your computer
2) Unless the computer already has had a zune installed on it, it will prompt
you for drivers
3) When prompted for drivers for your "Zune", click the option for "Install from a list or specific location (advanced)" and click "Next".
4)Next, click "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" and click the "Next" button again.
5) Click the button that says "Have disk..."
6) On the box that pops up, click "Browse" and Browse and double click on the file "Zune.inf" inside of the "Zune Driver" folder which is inside of the "ZunePortable" folder on your computer, memory stick, cd, etc.
7) It should successfully complete installing drivers
8) Now comes the easy part, just go into the "ZunePortable" folder and double click on the "Runme.bat" and click "OK" for any prompts that come up. (DONT EXIT OUT OF THE BLACK WINDOW THAT RUNME.BAT USES, EVER!)
9) When you are done using ZunePortable, just go back to the black window and click any key. It should uninstall ZunePortable, and you're good to go!
And you know what? Macs are too hip. Oh, look at me! I do graphic design! I wear women's jeans and hang out in coffee shops! I'm a DJ! Well good for you. My computer is not a fashion statement. It's a computer.
I have quite a problem here... After using ZunePortable, the "Zune.exe" from C:\Progrma Files\Zune" is missing! I'm not sure if the .bat "undid" everything.

Any way to fix my Zune Program?
Wait, do people WANT zune to stay on their computer? I made it that way so it would be removable. However, I suppose now I'll just make a SEPARATE .bat file to undo it. Okay dokay.

Okiday, I just redid it slightly, making it not automatically remove itself, however it does come with an uninstaller. Additionally, I also made it compatable with computers that do not have WMP version 11, like computers with sp1 or school computers (which never have updated to WMP 11 ). Tell me how well it works:
Note: Due to a few added files, this rar version is 1 MB bigger, and the whole unrared folder is just a couple MB bigger. Nothing huge.

Untill then, does this have to be installed or anything? If it does, then that kinda defeats the purpose of it being portable. I like how you added support for SP1, that will really hit the spot publicly.

Cant wait to try it!
No install, it just needs a .bat file to copy some stuff, and it has an uninstall .bat for people who DONT want it on that computer anymore. However, if you think it would be more beneficial for the .bat to AUTOMATICALLY delete the files it leaves on your computer (like it did initially), I could modify it to do that instead.

Updated again! Now v0.95, here's what has changed since the beginning:
-Much nicer, clean navigation system
-Navigation is contained inside a single batch file
-Cleaner interface and folder structure
-Different options for those with and without SP1/WMP 11

Any idea on when this is going public? I've been using this for a while now, without any errors. I love it.
I dunno, there are a few major problems:
1) It doesn't work on computers with less than WMP 11
2) You need to be an admin on the computer
3) If you're gonna install the program, then it's not truly portable, so what's the point?

Nurta, this type of privilege escalation can be done without detection because it brings you above admin privileges as long as you can run both cmd.exe (or command.com) and run the at command
