None to date, unfortunately. At least, not at zB. You might be able to find some news on other Zune fan sites, but I've never been to any others myself.

I have built a working hard drive patch for version 3 that allows you to see your Zune and its contents in windows explorer, but you cant write to, or copy from the device.
Also the device disappears from windows explorer while the zune software is running.
ya i have two computers, one is not connected to the computer so any programs i want to put on it need to go on a flash drive and the biggest i have is 1GB a 80BG portable Hard drive would be extremely use full
My backup hard drive crashed and I lost all my music. Its on my Zune though and I would like to down grade so I can pull it off of there and put it on a new backup drive.
If the instructions have been posted somewhere else please let me know where.

No need to downgrade, just do a reverse sync. But to my knowledge there's no way to downgrade. If there is a way will someone please PM me the instructions?

Thank you ,Thank you, Thank you.
I never thought of or even used that before, now my music is back.
Under software v3.1 the hard drive patch, as has been noted, permits you to see the Zune directories and files in Windows Explorer. However, it also allows you to delete files from the Zune. I found this handy when I was unable to delete some audiobook files using the audiobook program, but was able to install the hard drive hack to access the Zune and delete the book files. Gave me back about 500mb. So don't write off the hard drive hack entirely.
One additional note. After running the hack, if you start up the Zune software while the Zune is attached to the computer, you may get a message that the Zune is not accessible. After using the software for a minute or two, the Zune becomes accessible to the Zune software.

Reason: added clarification

How did you access the files through explorer? I put a lot of stuff on my Zune before the hack didn't work. Now, I can't access that stuff, such as my pictures and various items I had on my last computer. Is there any way to get that stuff off my zune and on my new computer???
