Yes. Your only option to get it back is to buy an exlosure for ZIF drives and then plug it directly into your computer. This will require you to take apart your Zune, voinding your warranty.

I'm in the same boat as Erickthered. I did the regedt hack to make the Zune visible, but then discovered that hack no longer worked as a way to copy my files off my zune and back onto my new HDD. How do you do a reverse sync? If you know, can you please direct me to instructions. Thanks.
