ZUNE NES Pad help me plz

ok look im working a Zune game pad of sorts but allready i need some technical help does any one kno how the dock uses the input form the remote to move through the menus and other stuff and is it even possible to harnis that to work with a game and 3rd party input

Infrared and the dock converts it to normal zune control command code and sends it to the device. It's possible but you would have to know the specific IR signals for each different control command.

i wasnt planning on useing the inferred capibilities i simply was gonna use the pins for the remote so the controller would be actually plugged in to the controller

Hey dude i have been thinking about this recently too. I did alot of thinking about the zune inputs when I was designing a zune car dock. Not only do I not know the answers but I don't think anybody else does either. But I can give you a heads up on how to find out exactly what you need to know.

this bad boy is a very little know microsoft accesorry, its a hard wired full function remote. Its made for zune 30 so it may not help with the zune pad (if you want to do an analog stick) but if you know enough about electronics that you will need to know to do this project, then you should already know how you can hook it up to a zune, then splice the wires (or whatever, lol) and read the impulses that are being sent, then have you controller just repeat those things, you might even be able to use the remotes inside the controller dock. Write a response if this will/wont help you, or if you gave up already, or if this information is old news, in otherwords let me know where you at. I would love to help you with it if your looking for any help. once you get it working i can help you make a wireless version too, lol.

hmmm. this is a good Idea, but instead of infared, maybe just an adapter. I you could extend the controls from the extension remote, make something that looked like

|.....||..........||.| |...o.|
|.+..||..........||.| |..o..|
---- ------------- ----

or some kinda case, or jacket that would fit around it, have the d pad above the screen, the play/pause and back buttons below it. the trickiest part would be building the housing for it...

hey at the px by my house there it a little docking station with a remote for the zune you can also program the 360 remote to the docking station i never picked it up cause its about 130 bux

why wouldnt this work
