Firmware downgrader

I am working on a firmware downgrader for those of you who want it. It should be ready soon. It will use the same method as the character hack, but some of the stuff will already be done for you. All needed programs will be included.

Cool. Up until now there hasn't been a need. There had been some talk in H&M about making one when the new firmware comes out, but nothing serious.

Really, unless you really hate the new interface more than you like the new features, a firmware downgrader won't do much for people who don't know how to do it manually.

The only reason I'm making it is because I don't like the shuffle in 1.4 AT ALL. I want to enjoy the sweet, sweet firmware 1.3 for the few days left before the new firmware comes out. I thought I would post it here since I'm making it anyway.

EDIT - My computer won't work with me on this kinda thing . . . *sniff*

ADVICE - If you want to hack a Zune through the firmware, DON'T USE A MODDED COPY OF WINDOWS XP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol this wouldnt be to hard to acomplish since its already been done but making a utility for it is a good idea, of course you should be carefull as like the psp newer moddles had ways of stopping downgrading like the lack of the 1.5 bootstrap, so you could potentially brick depending on the way the new zunes were created

I'm one of the ones who HATES, with a burning rage, the new firmware as well as the new software. If I can't roll it back soon I'm trading this piece of **** in and getting a Zen.

does anyone have the firmware downgrade downloads? because the download part of the site is down and im anxious to downgrade. by downgrade downloads i mean like Zune.RE.Zip, click the link above and look at the things u have to download, thats what i mean

It kind of funny, because I haven't downloaded any updates because i got a psp and I have been trying to hack that and so my Zune firmware is still at 1.3. So I am really happy because a lot of times you need a lower firmware to be able to put hacks onto it but I may just update to 2.2 or what ever they are onto now if I get board of hacking psp.

This would be great. I have had problems getting my Zune to pre 2.0 firmware, and I really preferred the old software/firmware. It was easer to work with playlists.

Did you mod your windows xp using nlite? If you did, you could also put back the missing data to your modded windows xp. What driver/compatibility issue are you having>?

zAltanator isnt a firmware downgrader its more of a device ID swapper
