PS3 Exclusives
Xbox 360 Exclusives

As far as I know both of these lists contain only that of which has been released. Feel free to look for future exclusives. Go through both of those lists and make your decision based on it. I own all the systems and can say each one has their benefits. Xbox live is totally worth it over the ps3 online service. Some of the PS3 exclusives are utter garbage as are some of the xbox's.

PC>>>>>>>Wii=PS3>360

My opinion, don't yell at me please. :x

Arfy 12-04-2010 08:00 PM

Onenchanbara was on the Wii too. And then Star Ocean: The Last Hope came out later on the PS3.

Well, if anything is associated with vgchartz, it is normally not good. This is just my experience though.

Draklor 12-04-2010 09:09 PM

Fact: Most 360 exclusives are also on the PC. PS3 exclusives are not.

They are not exclusive if they are also on the PC.

My point exactly.

Someone should add PC to the poll and thread title.

Legend 12-05-2010 06:26 AM

Well they are "Microsoft" exclusive.

Agent Zach 12-05-2010 06:31 AM

The day I can run Zune on the PS3 without needing a UnixFlash is the day I'll vote PS3... but all-in-all, I'm a PC Gamer. Voted 360 though.

WASD ftw.

MICROSOFT DOES NOT OWN THE PC!!!! People do this all the time and it is quite annoying. Left 4 Dead is made by Valve, Microsoft has NO play in the game whatsoever. Sames goes for Supreme Commander 2 and most of the other games on that list.

MICROSOFT IS PC! (jkjkjkjkjkjk)

Oh and I played Killzone on my friend's PS3..... ****ING KICKS ASS! ITs a really nice game ;)

Legend 12-05-2010 08:22 AM

I know they do not OWN PC, but a the PC games require a Windows Operating System(If you buy it from a store) and the only way to get games on Mac is steam.

Also it is called Games For Windows (says so on the box)

Because they were made to play on Windows and not Mac. Steam games (not all of them) run on both. And like Alex said, Valve is not Microsoft.

Also, 360 > PS3, The only thing the PS3 has going for it is Blu Ray and Gran Turismo

Don't forget 3D

Justananomaly 12-05-2010 09:34 AM

PS3. I just like it better. I've had mine over a year and no issues and nothing but good updates since I've received it including disc-less Netflix and 3D Blu-ray support. The games like LittleBigPlanet and soon LittleBigPlanet2 with nearly unlimited DLC make it a different gaming experience each time I load a level with it's own story line and characters. Also the PS-Move is a good alternative to the Wii. My girls are getting one for Christmas.

The Xbox 360 is alright too amidst the hardware failures I keep hearing about. It's got great online services too. I just can't afford to pay monthly or yearly for the services.

Wrong again. Mac versions of games have existed way before steam was even popular.

Windows is an semi-open platform. You do not need Microsoft's permission to make a game for it. It says Games for Windows on the box because the game is built to run on Windows, not because Microsoft has a part in it.

Microsoft has no say in the games and plays no part in their existence. Left 4 Dead and Supreme Commander 2 are not"Microsoft Exclusives"

*Microsoft Game Studio* cough cough... and last time I checked , those two games are only on 1 console , the 360. So yea they are exclusives (console wise) Although it doesn't have the "only on xbox 360" sticker.

They're on the PC so they're not exclusive.

You have to remember.. Microsoft Game Studios doesn't JUST make games for X360 and the PC... I'm assuming people forgot about Age of Empires: Age of Kings for Nintendo DS? made famous/infamous by Ensemble & Microsoft Game Studios..

And half the games that Microsoft takes rights for, like Halo 2 for example, first released them as "Only on Xbox".. but after a bit, the games seem to make their way to Windows.

I guess, in a sense, they could be considered "Microsoft Exclusives", but not necessarily Xbox 360 Exclusives..

Microsoft Game Studios didn't make L4D and Supreme Command 2 so your point is irrelevant. If the games were made by Microsoft then yes, it would be a Microsoft exclusive, but that is not what we are talking about.

Agent Zach 12-05-2010 11:03 AM

*coughs and points to his post above*

Remember, in rare cases Microsoft does make games for other consoles, even different mobile OS'.

I basically make no money and I can still afford it =D

Yeah but I pay enough for other serves. I'm not hating on the Xbox or Microsoft, I pretty much like all the consoles... the PS3 was just a bit more expensive but makes up for it because I don't have to pay $50 a year to use the services...

(ಠ_ృ) 12-05-2010 01:40 PM

Ok here. Let us bring an end to this argument. The OP asked for the choice between the PS3 and 360. On the lists that I had provided with PC not as a choice (which it wasn't) those are 360 exclusives as far as the OP is concerned giving us only the PS3 and 360 as options.

I game primarily on my PC and would much prefer to buy a game for it over any other console; however, I have another factor in which affects the way I buy games. I have friends with all consoles, but certain games have a larger friend base on certain consoles. I tend to buy the game for the platform where most of my friends are with that particular game. Exclusives are pretty much a no **** I gotta get it for that system.

So, now getting back to OP's question PC not a variable. Please OP make a sound decision based on your preference in exclusives; or even on which one you have more friends on if you like both systems exclusives about the same. 3D is a gimmic I would not even put that in my list of reasons to get a PS3, and yes... I do have a TV that can watch 3D it was a gift. Blu-ray is also a nice thing to have, but honestly it would not seal a deal for me either.

Netrix 12-05-2010 01:49 PM

These arguments make me sad. It seems like some of you have no idea what you are talking about.

No. When a game is "exclusive", it means it is only on one platform out of all platforms. Only one. There are no excuses. Saying a game that is on the PC and Xbox 360 is "exclusive" is a big lie.

I guess you also assumed that Ensemble Studios made it since they made the ones on the PC.

Age of Empires: Age of Kings was developed by Backbone Entertainment and published by Majesco.

I dare you to find a single game that was developed by Microsoft or one of its subsidies that was not for the PC or Xbox.

Agent Zach 12-05-2010 03:10 PM

Well, you were correct about AoE:AoK for DS.. it was "licensed" by Ensemble and Microsoft...

But what about this >>

Do they have any exclusives left? I thought they all moved over to the Xbox.

Agent Zach 12-05-2010 03:28 PM

Yeah.. I thought Metal Gear even made its' way to the 360.. or it's on the roster. I remember seeing that on one of the Live E3 feeds..

Metal Gear was one of the few PS3 Exclusives that made the Playstation more desirable...

Some would also say the same for SOCOM, but honestly, I don't see that series making its' way to the 360..

(God of War is one thee best PS Exclusive Series though.. I have to admit)

Scott1220 12-05-2010 03:43 PM

Ps3 got that doll sack game lol

Xbox got Halo =D

Well you are horribly mistaken then.

Killzone
SOCOM
God of War
Uncharted
LittleBigPlanet
Ratchet and Clank
Demons Souls
Heavy Rain
Metal gear Solid
Gran Turismo
Resistance
Infamous
MAG
MotorStorm

All of those are series that are exclusive to Sony. Those are just off the top of my head though.

PlayStation 3 has a wider variety of exclusives as well as many more quality exclusives. The 360 is for shooters and racers. If you are into those games then it is a great system. But the PS3 offers a much wider variety of games and features.

They are making a Metal Gear Solid for the 360 and PC, but it is a spinoff and not really related to the actual series. You don't play as snake.

Legend 12-05-2010 03:54 PM

There is also a MGS game coming to the 3DS so ...
