yah that could do it the download manager will store the password its self we need to figure out how to download them without needing the user name and password

Yes if I allow linking that would be a no no. That means it could reach out of Zuneboards. Its not that hard to use a ftp program is it?

Then this would be silly, most of our users are very noobish and dont even know what an FTP is. If we cannot directly link to the content then its not really useful to the site as a whole.

Thanks for the effort none-the-less. Ill still use it from time to time.

Eh Ill just leave it then. I wish there was a download program just for zuners to use...Must talk to my friend who is a programmer....to the batmobile

Fine then if you use this to upload files for the community then provide the user name and pass in the thread.

Until we get around the whole user name pass thing, this will not be the exclusive upload route for Zb but it is still usable as long as user and pass are provided.

i hosted a ftp server once.. and the way i did it was to have a 1 to 3 kb ratio.. meaning that an uploader can only download by uploading various files.. and it was controlled because I made a username and password for each individual.

Quick question, and not just related to this hosting site, but to uploading in general. I have Entourage seasons 1 - 3 on my PC and would like to upload them somewhere so Zune owners can DL them. My question is, do I need to resize the dimension of my files, currently they are 512 x 384 and 624 x 352. Also they are in .avi format and some are DVD quality.

Dude, Seriously I think you need to get some stuff inline cause I just attempted to upload Fantastic Four and Almost all of Law & Order + CSI, not to count the rest of my movies and it was like 45% done then your server disconnects. If you get it up an working right n all I will upload ALL my stuff, well not all of it cause I have about 3TB of stuff but as much as I can atleast.
