Speed Racer fans...

Some 18 year old senior from Biloxi, Mississippi won a $100,000 Corvette tricked out to look like the Mach 5 from the show.

He won it from MTV in a texting contest.

He lives about 5 miles from my house in Ocean Springs

Kinda sucks bc i can text like a BEAST. My friends hate that i can text so fast. But i didnt know about the contest. Or else id be driving around in a corvette right about now.. lol

That sucks. Go to his house and challenge him in a texting DUEL! If you win, take his car! Then we will all call you Speed Racer. =)

wow! that sucks for you like a whole lot man! I would have been pissed because i'm a beast at texting too! everyone wishes they could text like me,

but that was in Mississippi, I don't think that i would have been able to win.

Actually it was a national contest. he got picked to go to california to do the actual contest. and won.

but hey, i heard today that the car got keyed like 500 times at school. so sucks for him lol

The movie was fantastic btw. We all know it, critics can go drown themselves in a so-called "good" movie.

As far as the movie goes, the graphics were cool, the story line was pretty good..

BUT

they made it like a hotwheels movie

the races are COMPLETELY unbelievable lol. the show wasnt even that fake.

but hey, its for the kids right?

speed racer was not just another "turn something not real into a believably real movie". it was a completely new idea, imo. why do people watch south park? its not photoreal or even believable all the crap they do. the storys are just dumb and its all for gags. speed racer was all for fun.
