Default Robin Williams and wife will divorce after 19 yrs

SAN FRANCISCO - After nearly 19 years of marriage, Robin Williams and his wife are getting divorced.

Marsha Garces Williams filed a petition for dissolution of marriage on March 21 in San Francisco Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

The two met when Garces Williams worked as a nanny for Williams' son Zachary, whom he had with his previous wife, Valerie Valardi.

Robin and Garces Williams also have two children together, Zelda and Cody.

Williams, 56, won an Academy Award for his role in the film "Good Will Hunting." He also starred in the 1980s sitcom "Mork & Mindy," and has acted in a number of movies including "Dead Poets Society" and "Patch Adams."

Williams' agent Mara Buxbaum confirmed that the couple is splitting, but had no further comment. An attorney for his estranged wife would not comment on the case.

That sucks. I hate to see that kind of thing happens to anyone. Its sad when you're a big shot and its plastered all over the world of entertainment news.
I am sure he is not faultless in the process so I would not pity one over the other. I pity them both, really.

I find this weird cause I didn't think that Robin Williams was doing anything for a good while; he could have had a chance to make it work.
Maybe not?
It would have been more normal to me when he was clustered with work though.

I always loved the fact he named his Daughter Zelda.

Also I simply love his Standup.

what? Didn't you see him in Patch Adams, or in Bicentennial man? They were both really great movies.

Yes he can actually act. Patch Adams was great. I did not see Bicentennial Man though.

Genie's voice in Aladdin and Flubber

I liked him best in

I wonder if it's hard to be married to a Comedian
