Anybody here a fan of the new musical Spring Awakening? I haven't seen it, but I just got the cd cause my friends suggested it and it is amazing. Of course i know people here might not be into musical theatre, but this album only is a good listen. The story is basically being a teenager under strict German rule and braking the rules and having your way (songs about having sex with the teacher, getting girls pregnant, changing the system, masturbation, and a whole bunch of biblical refrences, etc.). is a link to a youtube video of the cast at the Tony Awards. I highly suggest it! What are your thoughts.

Oooh hoo hoo I'm gonna see this..
Reminds me of a recent George Lopez show where George gets the whole neighborhood to form a mob and go confront a sexual predator who recently moved in, who turns out to be a girl. Everyone is ok with it, besides Angie, and the next day Max went into her house looking to get some. And ultimately failing.

Sounds like they have a thing for those with morals and ethics. Mainly those who consider themselves Christians.
I don't like musicals anyway. Even Disney films ticked me off as a kid when they would sing.

Actually They are questioning the bible! And why are you responding to a thread about a musical... when you don't like musicals? The show was based on the original play Spring Awakening. The music can be found at the Zune Marketplace as well. The writer of the songs also has his own personal albums. The musical is new in a way that it looks old but feels very modern. The music is mostly rock and the lyrics are very provocative. At the same time of being obscene its provoking. Like how everything during that time period of 1891 is strictly under rule over the elders and what is right and wrong is depicted in the bible. These teenagers are going against the norm. Really moving.... but you probaly don't care about that.

Yeah, musicals always have gay sounding music imo, that's why I always switch the channel when one comes on.
