Zune Videos - Formats

Taking a look at the Toshiba Gigabeat, it looks like the Zune will support the following: MPEG4 and possibly, DivX, AVI, MOV, and MPEG2.

Please note, that this is only a prediction. To be safe, try posting MPEG4 movies for now.

Please keep the videos clean... no racism, no pornography, excessive violence, you know the drill.

edit: When launched, it will support MPEG4 ONLY, but more codecs will be released later on.

edit2: When launched, it will support MPEG4, and WMV. Other formats are supported, and will be converted into playable formats via Zune Marketplace.

I wish I had been storing them all along.
I usually convert them to .mp4, upload them, and then delete them. I'll try and recover some and put them up.

this is great that they will be supporting mp4 and possibly others. i have hundreds of videos on my computer and i am slowly but surely converting them all to mp4 for the ipod video that i already own. Multiple video formats has put the Zune one step closer to winning my heart. But it still has a long ways to go.

It also supports .wmv, convert to that if you can it's smaller and faster.

almost everything i have is in xvid/divx. most porno is in WMV but i'd rather put movies onto the zune than anything else.

Ya, so use the avs converter to convert it to .wmv.
Or mp4 if you got the time/patience.

I downloaded one of my favorite videos in mp4 format, and everytime I try to sync it it takes about 20 to convert it, and it doesn't show up.....its only a 4 minute video, what gives?
