DirectoryNotFoundException
thank you
I have this same problem. I didn't see a fix yet, but here's the screenshot you asked for.
I hope you can fix this error, or at least point me in the right direction, I do have books in folders in the content folder books, I put the .txt files in using windows explore, so I don't know if that might be the problem, like, do I need to use Visual Beta to put the .txt files in?
Edit: Think I figured out, sorry, am retarded.

Hey Netrix, I just want to thank you for this application, I haven't been reading books lately but with this, I can't put books(?) down! Much appreciated!
Did you make sure you have a book in the Books folder?
The way I am going to do future versions is if someone has a text file that the Book Reader can not read (correctly or not at all), and the problem isn't related to illegal characters, I will make the Book Reader read that text file. Hopefully after a few times of doing this, practically all text files will be read correctly.
i hope so. because im from Turkey and Turkish alphabet has too much illegal characters like ü,ı,ş,ç,ğ,ö. i hope you will find a solution for this problem.

Those characters will not be supported any time soon. What I meant was normal English books. There are too many characters from other languages to have to support, otherwise.
If someone wants to add that functionality to the Book Reader, just let me know. Until then, only Latin alphanumeric characters will be supported.

Adding support for accented Latin characters might be a good idea. Here's a SpriteFont that adds support for code points U+00C0 to U+02A8, which should cover the characters polatkan needs.
I don't know if you're using the <DefaultCharacter /> trick you discovered; using that instead of the old text scanning code should provide a performance boost.

It would be a good idea, if it was to actually work. I already tried to add extended character support, but the extended characters just showed up as spaces instead of showing the characters, and I got tired of wasting time on it when it just would not work. I will try again, since it might work properly with the new firmware.
Also, I removed the illegal character scanning and added DefaultCharacters. It is much simpler that way.

When deploying BookReader to my Zune, I get the following error:
Quote:
Cannot autodetect which importer to use for "Booksvampirecodex.txt". There are no importers which handle this file type. Specify the importer that handles this file type in your project.
Is there any way to get a scanned file into a pdf and then text. I have tryed with my epson scanner/ printer. When I change the scanned picture to pdf, its fine but when I try and change it to text {adobe acrobat Save as Text thing} it turns it into a notepad.
If you did know a site, that has a selection of new books then I might find my four books there. I would really enjoy this if I knew how to change scanned images to book reader files.
Netrix and Ledzep. Man this is a cool app. Thanks for your hard work. I've been playing with Zbooker for a couple days now, but your app is so much better and takes up less zune hard drive space.
Most of your instructions were very clear. The only thing that was there was no clear explanation where the contents and books folder is located. My visual C# express program defaulted the pop up window where the structure of the the project appears to closed. I finally figured out the problem but it might be helpful for others to include a screenshot of the visual C# studio with all this shown on your first post so you don't have to repeat yourself.
One cool feature would be if you could have thumbnail graphics for the book covers available in the main menu that can be clicked to show the test or the sub chapters. The same way that album covers appear in the music folder.
