with version 1.3, i left it on my dock and when the alarm was supposed to go off, it did. But no song played, all it said was WAKE UP! Any suggestions on how to fix this problem
To get the Zune alarm app to work with your dock you must:
You must plug your zune into your dock.
Then start playing some music...(if you want it louder, turn your volume all the way up)
Then, while your zune is playing music in your dock...start the Alarm clock application.
Then the app should load with your music playing. Then stop the music by selecting the option "Stop Music"
Then turn on your alarm or what ever you want to do with the application.
Your zune dock actually connects to the device firmware to "know how to play the music." If you start your app with out first letting your dock do this then it doesn't know when your device is playing music. The above method will work for you.

Works great! Thanks great job on the clock, but now you just have to figure out a way to get it to dim

When the menu is closed, you can hit the back button once to make it go to a black screen mode. Let me know if that works for you, or if you have other suggestions.
Also, after like 15mins, the screen will go into a screen saver mode. If an alarm goes off it will turn back on.
There is a bug with changing the background, it basically runs out of memory. The more details you can give me on what your steps where, the more I can try to figure out why it is crashing.

Instead of just deploying the application to your Zune, try running it in debugging mode. You can do that by connecting your zune and clicking the "Play" button, or go to the "Debug" menu and click on "Start Debugging". Hopefully it will break wheverever it is breaking and show you what exactly is breaking.
First manually remove the application from your zune, then try it with version 1.0. It has the least amount of setting features, so if it is breaking with that version, it is the best to test it out with. Then let me know what happens.

You could also add a feature to choose which day/days of the week to have the alarm on. and gradual increase/decrease of music for alarm/sleep timer would be nice, too.
This looks great. I'm glad someone who can actually program decided to make an alarm clock.
lol
GOD! This is amazing! How long have you been working on this?
and BTW: Sorry for 'Stealing your thunder' I was just fed up with waiting. =D
The only thing I can think of that you don't have is custom backgrounds. Now THAT would be cool. You can find the code in Zune Clock 1.5.
Can't wait to see how well it works. ;D

1) I hope its just a misspell, but you need C#
2) You need to first unzip/unrar and game to a folder on your hard drive before loading it up into C#
A new tip for everyone using this application. For those who like to fall asleep to the radio, or listen to the radio for a certian amount of time and then have an alarm go off.
If you turn on your radio before entering the app, the radio will keep playing after the app begins. Then you can set the sleep timer. You will notice that now the radio and your music is playing at the same time. Just turn the volume down to 0 while in the app. It turns down your music all the way, but you can listen to your radio as load as the volume was when you entered the app. Then your zune will shutdown once the sleep timer runs out.
