That's surely an option, only it won't save any power for you, but could be useful if the display bothers you. : p
yeah, the display does sorta bother me. and wouldnt it at least save some battery?? like from having not as much as power running to keep the pixels lit up??
neways, you think you could impliment that feature??
and if you want any other suggestions for a feature, probably a setting to allow the ability to choose a background using one of your pics. but im mostly hoping you can implement the backlight disable mockup feature.

Black pixels are the same as blue, red, green, etc. pixels power-wise.

Yup.
Customizable background is doable ( I only use this one to fit my brown 30G). As a temporary method, replacing BBK.png in the content folder to use the background you want. ( resize to 240x320 first)
It sounds just like stantang's problem. I can't really fix the bug since I don't have a 80G, but it runs fine on Johnny's 80G. I am sorry to hear so many 80G have issues with it.
I have problems with it crashing on my 80 GB... It crashes in about 3 seconds...
Huntman85 has had some similar problems with things crashing only on 80GB's. It has to do something with the content library or something... Maybe he can clarify it. Has this been reported to Microsoft Connect.
The message visual studios give me when it crashes... is "The remote connection to the device has been lost. Please verify the device connection and restart debugging"

Thank you for the feedback. What the error msg really says is VS loses the connection, and zune didn't report what's wrong before restarted itself. Not really helpful, but thank you for posting.
The only hardware difference I know of between 30G and 80G, is the screen on 30G is updated at 60 frames per second (max), while 80G is capped at 30 to save some power. I don't see this is the reason why 80G has the rebooting issue.
I think there i an incompatibility with the Zune 80 somewhere in XNA... because Hunstman85 is having the same problem in his alarm clock app. It reports the connection is lost, and it only happens on the 80. We could not reproduce the error on a 30 GB.
Since it doesn't give a error message it will be hard to fix... but there probably is a work around. It would just take trial and error to fix this problem. I reported it to microsoft connect to see what they have to say... they will probably look into the issue.
well i have que 80g zune and the zune player works great, but i have a question about this aplication. Can i, in any way, change the color on the zune clock? i mean on the numbers, its look gray, and i barely can see it.
Great Job... but there are some problems... not stable, graphics are kind of choppy but i blame it mostly on the zune. It doesn't have the right memory/processor to do games like this.

It's in Game1.cs. From line 2513 to 2539, there are four lines of
clockColor = new Color(50, 50, 50);
Change it to the color you want (RGB color, (255,255,255) is the brightest white).
Hope this helps.

Hi, am I missing something? I've downloaded the file 3 weeks ago, but I've no clue how to get it work, but only recently realise that it supports Zune 80gb, this is a must to me, a really deal breaker!!!! Am Asian with lots of Chinese song! My, hope this work out for me!
I am an owner of 80GB Zune and I have installed the software. It works great; but.. I have noticed that some songs crash.. some songs do not crash. I hope this gives you some hints/ideas.
all great but for me since I have so many genres of randomness it is too complecated to find songs maby have another side menue where you can scrol artists, also the backlight auto off after like 5 seconds and then its perfect!
