[WTB] East Bay area California Friend of mine lost metro Cellphone

I know someone who recently lost their Motorola Slvr L7 with a 2GB micro SD card installed in it, and we're wondering if anyone maybe has a good Metro Cellphone with web, hopefully mp3 support, camera, and so on... they'd be willing to part with for less than $90 (willing to consider going as high as $150 if the phone is good enough).. any comments or offers for my friend and I to buy are welcome.

Would a unlocked phone work? Cause I happen to have an extra unlocked phone, although I'm not sure if metro uses SIM cards (I live in the East Bay CA, but I've never heard of them, unless your talking about MetroPCS).

You can usually unlock your own phones online. They have codes for the popular models.

CDMA phones are pointless to unlock, you won't be able to use them due to the provider specific software that is loaded up on it.

Make sure you check the ESN number before buying so you don't have any surprise bills before activating!
