Product description

HiFi sound: Deliver high-fidelity sound to your laptop or desktop PC with this two-way speaker system. Hear cymbals, triangles and acoustic guitars in greater detail, thanks to the tweeter. With the 17W RMS powered wood subwoofer, you’ll be able to hear and feel the difference. The enhanced warmth and character results in a live experience that's close to reality.

Easy to control: Plug in headphones to enjoy your favorite tunes without disturbing others. Convenient power and volume buttons put you in control your music.

Small footprint: Maximize your area for optimal performance. The satellites’ small footprints make them easy to place anywhere—even mount on the wall.

Magnetically shielded: If you prefer the speakers close to your desktop or TV the magnetically-shielded satellites will not cause any interference.

Lower bass: Enjoy more bass response with the flared port for lower, cleaner bass. This bass unit is fine-tuned to ensure the smoothest passage of airflow.

A much needed upgrade

These speakers are awesome. They are 100x better than the speakers that were on my laptop and it makes listening to music or anything really, much more enjoyable. The bass is sufficient and the midrange/ highs are good as well. This system won't blow your socks off, but the quality at regular volumes is great and good enough for just about anyone.
I do have to warn you that they are not the same speakers that are pictured above, so be sure to check Creative's website before ordering to make sure they are what you want. I honestly have to say that the T3100 (the ones you'll actually receive) look better than the ones pictured anyways.
The set up was a little bit of a pain because everything runs to the sub and then to the speaker and back. It's a little daunting at first, but once they are set up your good to go. I personally also like how on the T3100s, that no wired remote is included, instead the volume control is simply located on the side of the right speaker and the bass control is on the back of the sub. Yeah, the bass control is a little it of a pain to get to, but once you set it to how you like it, I think you'll find that it's better that a wired remote isn't included in addition to the speakers. I think it would have just make your desk more cluttered, by getting the remote too.
Overall I give these speakers a positive thumbs up. I managed to get them for twenty dollars w/ rebates at the time, which was really a steal. At regular price, I do think $50 might be a bit much, but still probably worth it. I would advise you though, to first shop around, because there are other speakers offered from logitech, and CA, etc. in the same price range. For me and for just about anyone, I am sure these would be a much needed upgradeto any pair of speakers that might have come with your computer

I have been using these speakers for a month now and I am extremely happy with the quality and its value! Bass is something which i was looking for and these speakers are too good for my needs. The mid and high range performance is just perfect for regular home use - playing music, watching movies. Looks are definetly a plus!

Fine sound quality for listening to Windows beeps and whirs. Cabling is a bit of a nuisance, as others have noted. I ended up having to fabricate an extension from the speaker box back to the computer.
