Coldplay Exclusively on iTunes My Ass!!

I was heartbroken when I saw this ad on TV saying one of my favorite bands were exclusively on iTunes:

The ad says the new album (available today) would be available exclusively on iTunes...MY ASS!!!

It's on Zune Marketplace....what is Apple trying to pull?? Arrgh!! I almost went to Amazon before I saw it up in ZM....VIVA LA VIDA!!!! mwahahahahaha!!!

false advertising is a sueable offense.

You misinterpreted the ad, it's not about the album being exclusive, the single had an exclusive release on iTunes before the album. Clearly, the ad leaves the possibility of that misinterpretation wide open, which was probably their intention, but what's actually in the ad is not false.

That is really common though in advertising to release singles before albums that its like natural I don't understand how the op made that mistake ........The OP was just fooled to belive that the whole album was going to be exclusive.
When in most cases including the iTunes ad that the hot singles are released before the whole album.
Just so you all know..... this never happened (not that I remember) to me.

Meh, stupid apple, trying to confuse pplz. Sadly, most people will probably buy it off itunes thinking that's the only place they can get it.

I never actually thought about it. I've had the song Viva la Vida since it was first available so I never confused it with the Full Album. I'm not really sure who you would blame for that.. Thought there is 1 song which is an iTunes exclusive bonus track.

Viva La vida (the single) was exclusively on itunes before the release of Viva la Vida (the album) However, now the album and single are available on both itunes and the zune marketplace. It was a little misleading, my friend is thinking of getting a zune and coldplay is one of his favorite bands, after he saw that he was thinking of going ipod.

I went to see them in san jose and it was amazing!!!! They sound so good live, i highly recommend anyone who has a chance to go and see them. And yes theyre new album is the best.
