Default The Beatles

Any other Beatles fans in this forum?
I think they're awesome, they are my favorite band. I know that might be kinda weird considering my age (16) but whatever. Pearl Jam is in very VERY close second place on my list of favorite bands, but the Beatles are the best and I'm pretty obsessed with them
Just wondering if there was any fellow fans on the zune boards.

I like a few Beatles songs, but overall I find them kind of annoying. And I just hear their stuff too much, so it makes me dislike them more. Pearl Jam rocks though =P. Last Kiss is an awesome song, so is Jeremy.

It's not hard to believe at all. Technically everyone here is a fan of the beatles, because they influenced alot of modern music, so unknowingly they also are a big fan.

Can't go wrong with the beatles.

Not a fan of their earliest albums, but once they pulled in influences from Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys, and drugs, they got much better.

I would have liked the group but I was surrounded by people who literally worshiped these people because of their music and it destroyed them for me.
Though I do admire John Lennon for his works.

I do enjoy listening to the Beatles. Although I hate the Target commercials.

Exactly. I tell some of my friends who don't really like the Beatles that every single rock band that came after them was influenced by the Beatles in one way or another. There would be none of the modern bands my friends worship without the Beatles.

John Lennon is my hero. That man was AMAZING.

I despise those commercials too. I cringe everytime I hear their butchered version of Hello Goodbye.

Ha, yeah their more trippy, LSD inspired songs are pretty sweet. I like both their early and later work. It's funny that every little kid has heard Yellow Submarine and the Beatles must have been pretty damn high when they wrote that song. You should check out the video for Strawberry Fields Forever if you haven't already seen it, awesome and super trippy. That's one of my favorite songs by them.

I really liked Across The Universe and the soundtrack, granted some of the songs aren't good but for the most part I enjoy them.

i thought they did a better job than i thought. usually they are just good covers, but i thought they did some really neat and unique interpretations. what do you all think of the Sgt Pepper movie with Frampton, Bee Gees, and more?

I actually haven't had the chance to watch Across the Universe yet. Is it really that bad?

But you know what an awesome cover is?
Eddie Vedder's (lead singer from Pearl Jam!) interpretation of "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away"
It's from the "I Am Sam" movie soundtrack

I would say watch it and take your own opinion, I thought it was good.

When it comes to Across the Universe if your a Beatles fan you wont like the music much. But if your not much of a Beatles fan then you'll love it.

When I heard Eddie Izzards version of 'The Benefit of Mr. Kite' I raged so hard. However it being Izzard I let it slide a bit.
