Default Good Christian Alternative/Emo bands

I'm looking for new christian alternative/emo-style bands that their lyrics are OBVIOUSLY christian. I dont like the middle-of-the-road lyrics where you're not sure he's singing about God or a girl...

I like: a rotterdam november, wavorly, red, the afters, anberlin, this beautiful republic, etc. (thats all that comes to my head)

You know Relient K right? If not, then you are way out of the loop. They're not really alternative, but since you listed Anberlin i thought why not you know?

how about:

Flyleaf
Fireflight
Falling Up
Dizmas
Skillet

And that's why most Christian music could be taken many different ways.

Pillar is really good actually. Try Bless The Fall as well, they're CD was amazing and they wrote all the songs in like 6 weeks.

the almost was started by aaron gillipsey--drummer of underoath (i doubt thats how u spell his last name)...which is why they sound so similar. I do like underoath and the almost, emery is pretty good, (but I heard they're not a christian band--any truth to this?) FF5, and i listen to all the other bands listed here. Thanks for the replies. I guess I am looking for more of the unheard of emo-ish bands like My Paper Camera, or Ivoryline, or Waking Ashland, things like that. I also enjoy Leeland, although not an emo band, just emos in a band (which you would think that it would influence their music--it doesnt) so any unheard-of emo bands with strong christian lyrics I wouldnt be afraid to show to my parents? thanks

This "Christian Emo music" thing is kind of an oxymoron IMO =|

Are you sure "emo" is the correct term for it?

Agreed, although I wouldn't really think of them as emo.

skillets not emo...saline: you're right...but thats the genre people place them in...if you're looking for a reference to IMO mainstream emo bands (whose style i like-- but Im looking for christian bands) Panic! At the disco, falloutboy, 30seconds to mars, etc. use those as references to what I'm looking for

anyone heard of Capital Lights or This Providence? This Providence is actually on the same label as Panic! but is actually a Christian band sounding a lot like them. Its sweet.
