Who was that female (middle eastern, I think) hip hop artist?

This is driving me insane, I have nothing to go by and have been searching forever. Two to three years ago I remember a young female hip-hop/r&b artist who gained a lot of popularity because of her urban street style coming from a different culture. I'm not exactly sure where she's from but I think she was middle eastern or indian. She wore crazy cloths and the video's looked a little old school.

The only thing I remember about one of her songs is that the lyrics repeated "something something won-gun" at some point. It was a different language i'm pretty sure.

I know this isn't much to go by... but it's brought out the OCD in me, and I need to know!
