I think the first I saw was in 5th grade when I went to see The Blue Band at the Iowa State Fair, a Jazz/Blues Band that does a lot of covers and whatnot and their most memorable song is their cover of Mustang Sally during that song not a single person around wasn't dancing

sounds like fun. the sad thing is that i have never been to an actual concert. i was planning on going in august to a dragonforce, disturbed, mastadon, and slipknot but i think school starts before the concert which really stinks

My first real concert was Van Halen (with sammy Hagar). My parents took me to see them when I was eight. That was about 18 years ago and I've been addicted to concert ever since. I've been to so many concerts that I can't even remember off the top of my head all the musicians that I've ever seen.
I'll tell you the craziest thing I've ever seen at a show... When I was about 16 or 17 I went to see Hatebreed with E Town Concrete (I think) and a couple of other bands. Now, I don't know if any of you have ever been to or seen a hardcore/metal show and know what a mosh pit is but (I'm sure if you go to youtube there is plenty footage) the pit was just absolutely insane that night and I had been in the pit most of the show so when Hatebreed came out I was pretty exhausted and decided to sit out for a couple of songs after they played their first song (which was Before Dishonor by the way) and I stood where I always stand at show... right around the pit. About a minute into their third song the pit just comes to a sudden stop and everybody clears out around this guy. This just is cupping his hands and looking in his hands in shock. He's got blood running down the side of his head all over his body and dripping onto the floor. My buddy leans over to me and says "where's his f*cking ear? Is he holding his ear in his hands?" Sure enough... his ear had been ripped from his head in the pit... it was insane. The dude ended up passing out and someone called 911 and they got his ass out of there... I never did find out if there were able to reattach his ear... anyways, that's my story.

[ I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.[/

The first "real" concert I went to was Lifelight in South Dakota, which was awesome.
The main band I remember seeing was Thousand Foot Krutch, which blew me away.

Remedy Drive.
It failed. I wish I could have seen Van Halen.

It was at Christ Community Church.

Genesis' Invisible Touch Tour at the Dean Smith Center at UNC. Pretty good show. I was only 12 or 13 at the time.
Best concert was Winger, Extreme and another band at the South Florida Fairgrounds in '88. Extremely small venue. Packed and excited crowd. Funny thing was that Winger "headlined" the show and Extreme opened, but Extreme blew the other two out of the house. Better show, better songs, better crowd response. By the time Winger finished, most of the people had left they were so disappointed in the performance on the stage. Neil Diamond at UNC was a surprisingly good concert in the late 80s. (My mother had bought the tickets for her and my step-father. I just tagged along.) The Eagles and Page/Plant were good shows after their respective reunions. Saw both of those at the Omni in Atlanta, GA. ![]() |

this chrsitian band named Casting Crowns, it was cool, I liked it, I didn't really attend though, I worked security in the front of the stage, so I was there, i listened, but I guess you could say i attended, you be the judge.
