Alice In Chains would probably be my favorite but I like a lot of stuff.
So, I guess:

1. Alice In Chains
2. Red Hot Chili Peppers (not Stadium Arcadium)
3. Nirvana
4. Marcy Playground
5. Candlebox
6. Smashing Pumpkins

This isn't really definite, though, just bands I really really like.

Avenged Sevenfold. I believe the have the best overall band ever. I know there are alot of good bands. But it usually has 1 or 2 good people. This band have a great overall band.

Lately I'm diggin' Switchfoot/Jon Foreman and his solo EP's, some good stuff I would recommend to anyone. Relient K is also good, some Weezer and the like.
