Default "The Last Movie You Saw" thread

Basically if you watch a movie in theatres, dvd, etc..etc..
just post what it is and drop a few sentences over the movie[/align]
and bless us with a rating if you wish

i'll start us off.

"Click": Adam Sandler, Kate Beckinsdale :icon_pray:

it started off great and pretty much dragged for the rest of the half. infact it took me a week to finish the movie, just because i couldnt sit and watch it all at once. comedic because of Adam Sandler..but not as good overall

Borat.

Awesome, as I'm sure you know or have heard, or both. Funny all the way through, and quite surprising at some times.

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace..

Hadn't see it since I was about 10 or 11.. The story is a little more silly then I remembered it, But was still fun to watch again.

Just got back from seeing Borat... gotta agree with Putis about the "funny" stuff, but I'm gonna add to NEVER go see it with your dad. That led to an awkward drive home.

Lol, ya, I would imagine those few scenes could be awkward with the wrong person.
Great movie though.

Have you guys heard of the people that are suing him/them?

"Boondock Saints"

Best Freaking movie ever!!!!
the two brothers kill two Russian mob members in Boston in self defense and then they turn themselves in. Instead of being charged they are released as heros. The then "recive a message from god" to kill the guilty, Eg. Mob people, criminals, lowlifes, pimps, ect.

DVD: Miami Vice

had it downloaded. man what a disappointment. Thought Jamie Foxx shouldnt have been played, he was trying to portray someone, and didnt pull it off, and not to mention he had no chemistry with Colin Farrell.
Farrell was easily the best character in the movie. he adapted his character in a different way and carried the movie.

the script was ubberly boring as well. they jump into some story and bam-bam-couple of shots later, the movie is over.

Shipping drugs from a Third World Country can't be that easy !! Hell, if that's the case, I'll buy a fast speed boat, curse like a sailor, and carry a live grenade (just in case someone gets in my face), someone's bound to do business with me.

rating 2/5

The last movie I watched was Cars from Disney. Yeah that's right.
I was a pretty good movie, not something I would purchase unless it was less than 10$. Otherwise download it. What really held it all together for me was Owen Wilson. Being a huge fan of his is what got me to watch it in the first place. However as Disney/Pixar films go, it was not their strongest offering. If I was offered a free Disney/Pixar dvd, I would still choose Toy Story. 3/5

Last Movie: "World Trade Center"

extremely well made movie and emotional as well. Oliver Stone did good in this one.when situations like 9/11 happen, they really show what courage is about. people living for other people and doing whatever they can to help the other person.
good work done by Nicholas Cage and Michael Pena, both portraying real characters. For some reason, I also liked Michael Shannon who plays the steely and full of resolve Marine, Dave Karnes. dont wanna give away spoilers. so if you havent seen it, go watch it!

Bobby.

Not bad, but not what I was expecting. It wasn't really so much about his politics, or his assasination really. It was more about the people that were there that night, and the other victims, and how their lives all connected with Bobby's, on that night, and how his life/death impacted people.

Overall a good movie.

Last move Casino Royal. (New one) Good movie. Don't really like the new Bond but I am sure he will grow on me. Although when I walked out I wanted to knwo what happen to the last 2 1/2 hours of my life (Yes it is the longest Bond movie to date). I was utterly confused. (Too many plot twists)

I saw the new Bond film and Tenacious D this last week. Both were excellent for their own reasons. I'd recommend either.

I had really wanted to watch it, than I went...The whole time I felt like stabbing myself with the sharp piece of candy I found on the floor.

Besides that, I saw the James Bond movie. I liked it, but I felt it lacked that "James Bond" feel. :-/
