OK, how many people on here have seen this movie. I mostly talking to guys. Because I know that some guys have that mentality about it's content. Even though you can just press skip fwd for awhile once their in the tent and that you never have to see only really bad part.
But seriously how many of you have seen this?
And if you have how'd you rate it?
I'm using a 1-10 scale.
10= Buy the DVD watch atleast once a week.
1= Horrible never even borrow let alone read a summary.
Also incase your wondering I'll update ranking system
5= Ok, worth renting.
7.5= good movie renting is definatly worthy of renting and telling your friends about it.
3.5= rent from the dollar movie thing (or equiv)
I'd give it about 8.873 or Worth renting and watching at least once. But rewatch value's very low.
Currently the rating is: 8.71
Which according to this algorithm it's a great movie that keeps getting better.

I'd give it an 8. It was a good story, but I wouldn't rewatch it.

It's been since it was in theaters since I've seen it, but I would watch it again.

Thanks for proving my theory. It was that every female who saw the movie will give it a 8.6 or better. It's still not been proven but it's getting there. And once again sex was hot.. Maybe to you. Me I just skipped through the movie from when the entered the tent until I thought I'd be safe again. And thanks for your input. I'm thinking about using an average rating feature now. Plz if you've seen the movie. Post what you thought. Really do it.

No, I was just saying that girls tend to like the emotional romance aspect of the movie much more than guys do. It's just a standard thing that I'm hoping to solve through this thread.

Actually, when I went and saw it I was one of maybe 10 females in the entire sold out room. Granted, I'm willing to bet money on the fact that most of the men in there were gay.

But, there's more to the movie than just gay sex. It's an accurate look into the life of homosexual men in the 70's. They were in very real danger of being murdered if found out.

Haven't seen it to be honest... Not because of the whole gay sex scene thing.. even though that's one of the reasons why I have yet to rent it. But also because not my kind of movie. I'm in to action,comedy,horror movies. Broke Back Mountain is just not my kind of movie and I would probably not like it..so won't even bother renting it and watching it.

So I'm also not into such movies but I had see why it won so many awards so I watched it w/ my mom. And it's only that one scene. You can skip over it. Or you could do what I did because my mom wouldn't skip over it, leave the room for awhile and then come back. I didn't think that I'd like it all but hey after I've seen it it's an OK kinda movie.

I just can't get myself to rent it ... it has no interest. Two girls I know had the same comments about the film -- something like: It was kinda boring and the story was about a loving family that is torn apart by a homosexual affair. If it were the same exact story but with a heterosexual affair I doubt it would have received any awards or "buzz."

Well I watched it w/ my mom. And you can skip that one part. That's what I did or tried. but my wouldn't so I left the room and had her scream for me after that scene.
