![]() I haven't seen this movie but I was sure interested in it though cause it deals with world history. But watching The Tudors and having a movie that came out this week is weird enough. I like Scarlett Johansson, but from the commercials itself it sounds really dumb. These reviews are telling me that I should just wait untill season 2 of The Tudors March 31st New York Post: Lou Lumenick It's pretty hard to make a dull movie about Henry VIII and his complicated love life, but The Other Boleyn Girl, a failed Oscar contender, manages to do just that, with yawns to spare. Wall Street Journal: Joe Morgenstern After covering much of its ground at a stylish canter, The Other Boleyn Girl finishes at a plod. USA Today : Claudia Puig Can't quite figure out what it wants to be. At times it strains to be a stately period drama about 16th-century political intrigue. Then it devolves into soap opera muck and emerges as a rather tame bodice ripper. Read More Reviews Here And this one helped me out alot Quote:

I saw it the day it came out -- my girlfriend wanted to see it, she's as obsessed with natalie portman as i am sylvester stallone.
I thought it was good, but not in my taste. It's odd it got a pg-13 rating with what subject matter it has. By that I mean an instance where - slight spoiler, you might want to skip the line if you're paranoid; spoiler - highlight to read: a baby fetus is burned post-miscarriage plus other scenes. Not complaining, i love me sex sex and blood, I'm a horror addict, but it surprised me that the movie could get away with so much sex, and a scene including an overhead view post-decapitation of a criminal. I can't remember what I've said by now, so, serious review; *I thought it was interesting enough. *I didn't get bored, and I'm not even into movies like this. *It had some clever tie-ins to keep it history oriented, ie elizabeth is thrown in there, the old lady in front of me didnt realize until the credits why the baby's name meant anything. *It had a lot of pwn moments between the sisters (my constant thought throughout the movie; "bitch, i own you") *Natalie Portman. -Well. I can't really think of anything I entirely disliked. maybe I'm just forgetting. but. hopefully my long rant hasn't put you off. I ramble. I don't even know what I've typed in this by now.
